Vortex Powerfans are designed to provide robust and reliable airflow, addressing a wide range of ventilation needs. Manufactured by Atmosphere, these fans combine high-performance motors for optimal airflow, durable powder-coated steel construction, and vibration-reducing technology for quiet operation. With versatile applications ranging from HVAC systems to grow rooms, bathrooms, and kitchens, Vortex offers efficient and reliable solutions for any ventilation challenge.

From inline fans to dryer ventilation, Vortex offers several distinct product series, each tailored to meet specific ventilation challenges.

Inline fans

S-Line

The S-Line offers superior air and sound performance for ultra-quiet operation. With built-in acoustic foam, these fans are perfect for bedrooms, offices, and sound-sensitive areas

V-Series

The V-Series combines high performance and quiet operation. Theses fans are equipped with a mixed-flow impeller allowing more air volume than any other comparable impeller design. Furthermore, the V-Series fans operate at a lower RPM, making them even quieter.

VTX-Series

Speed controllable and balanced motors with permanently lubricated ball bearings ensure the VTX-Series has vibration-free operation. With a 6 foot power cord built in, the VTX-Series provides an easy, hassle free installation.

Dryer Ventilation

VTX400P

The VTX400P has a built-in pressure switch that detects when air is flowing through the ventilation duct. It will automatically turn on for 10 minutes and shut off for a 15 seconds and turn back on if there is still positive pressure from the dryer.

VTX400C

The VTX400C is supplied with a current switch that detects when the dryer is turned on to automatically activate the fan.

VTX-DEDPV

The VTX-DEDPV is a UL705 rated exhaust fan that includes an integrated pressure sensor, and a wall-mounted indicator panel with a 50ft power cable. In the event of a problem, the LED panel will inform that homeowner of the nature of the problem.

Accessories

LT4 & LT4S Dryer Lint Trap

Airborne lint from your home’s dryer may accumulate in the exhaust duct causing clogging issues. This can quickly become a serious fire hazard. The LT4/LT4S Lint trap catches the lint that isn’t caught by the dryer’s lint screen and protects the exhaust fan and ductwork.

PROFilter Reversible Activated Carbon Filters

Most cylindrical-type air filters utilize 65% of the carbon available by only filtering through the top section of the carbon filter. Vortex’s PROFilter allows reversal of the filter, benefiting of 100% of the carbon available and extending the unit’s lifespan.

Whether you’re upgrading an existing HVAC system, improving a grow room setup, or tackling a long dryer vent run, Vortex provides reliable solutions to meet your ventilation needs. With a myriad of models and series to choose from, you can find the perfect fan to optimize your airflow and create a more comfortable and efficient indoor environment.

The Fire-Resistant Advantage

Wildfires are an ever-growing concern for homeowners and builders, particularly in fire-prone regions. One of the most effective measures to protect homes against wildfires is installing fire-resistant vents. BrandGuard Vents provide the perfect solutions, designed to resist ember and flame intrusion while maintaining the airflow essential for home safety and comfort.

BrandGuard Vents are engineered to exceed stringent safety standards, including ASTM E2886 ember-resistance tests and California’s Chapter 7A Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) building codes. These vents utilize overlapping baffles and 1/8-inch ember-resistant mesh to block embers, flames, and wind-driven rain while allowing for proper ventilation.

All BrandGuard vents are made with fire-resistant galvanized steel, many models have the optional finishers of stainless steel or copper. Many models also feature intumescent strips that expand under high heat, sealing the vent to provide an additional layer of fire protection. Let’s take a closer look at the BrandGuard line.

Dormer Vents

BrandGuard dormer vents feature a unique overlapping baffle which safeguards against ember entry and against wind-driven rain and snow. The dormer vents do not have intumescent materials.

BrandGuard offers full dormer vents or retrofit kits which allows for new builds or upgrading existing vents without the need for a full replacement.

The dormer vents are also available with stainless steel or copper finishes.

Soffit Vents

BrandGuard offers standard and continuous soffit vents. The soffit vents are available with both stainless steel and copper finishes and have the intumescent strips that provide additional fire protection.

Standard

Standard soffit vents are individual, discrete vents that are installed at intervals along the soffit. Because the ventilation is localized to the area around each vent, it is very effective in smaller structures or when precise placement is needed. Installation of standard soffits are simpler on existing soffit panels.

Continuous

Continuous soffit vents are long, narrow vents that run continuously along the entire length of the soffit. This provides consistent and even ventilation across a larger area, improving overall airflow to the attic or roof cavity. While advantageous in larger buildings, continuous soffit vents are often preferred for their seamless look as they integrate smoothly into the soffit design.

Eave Vents

Much like soffit vents, eave vents help prevent hotspots, moisture build-up, and improve the lifespan of your roof. BrandGuard’s fireplugs expand upon that and helps resist the intrusion of embers, radiant heat, flames, and wind-driven rain.

While only available in the standard galvanized steel, they can be painted to match or complement your home’s exterior.

Gable Vents

BrandGuard’s gable vents feature their overlapping baffle design with intumescent strips that prevents the stops intrusion of embers, flame, and wind-driven rain and snow.

BrandGuard’s gable vents are available with in the standard galvanized steel which can be painted to match your home, or with the optional stainless steel or copper finishes.

Foundation vents

Foundation vents provide critical cooling and ventilation to the crawl space, basement, or garage. BrandGuard’s fire-stopping foundation vents are built with intumescent strips that provide your home with a first line of defense against ember and flame intrusion.

The foundation vents are available as well in stainless steel or copper and can also be painted to match the color of your house.

Sub-Flashing Roof Vents

Sub-flashing roof vents are able to convert standard low-profile roof vents, mushroom vents, and turbine vents into WUI compliant, ember-stopping vents that provide critical cooling and ventilation to your home.

BrandGuard’s sub-flashing roof vents feature the overlapping baffle design and a one-eighth inch mesh on the vent’s backside which resists ember, flame, and wind-driven rain and snow intrusion. They are easy to install from the inside the attic.

Balcony Vents

BrandGuard’s new removable, 1 hour fire-rated balcony inspection vents make it possible to avoid costly repair work caused by regular inspection. They feature BrandGuard’s overlapping baffle design and intumescent strips that help prevent rot, and resists flame, ember, and radiant heat intrusion.

Why BrandGuard?

BrandGuard Vents patented triple protection provides comprehensive fire protection without sacrificing functionality or aesthetics. Whether you’re looking to safeguard your attic, foundation, or balconies, their product line offers versatile, reliable solutions for homes and commercial properties in wildfire-prone areas.
